Special Olympics

This annual event is a company favorite! This event is one of the main fundraisers to support the efforts of The Special Olympics. This event raises money for thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities so that they can have the opportunity to experience the joy of sports training and competition.

BankerBroker® has been a participant and supporter in this event since 2006. BankerBroker® and other businesses put together teams of approximately 20 individuals. Team members earn donations and pledges for the event and great cause. Most recent BankerBroker® participation raised a total of $2,072 in 1 day! Thank you again to all those who generously donate their time and money to this cause year in and year out.

Habitat for Humanity

BankerBroker® teamed up with Habitat for Humanity for a project day. Two teams made up of approximately 11 employees each, split to work to complete two homes in the Habitat project.

Teams worked together to lay the beginning foundation on one of the newer Habitat project homes and also paint the entire inside of another completed home for the final delivery to the new home owners. The day was full of hard work, sweat, lifting, and sometimes a messy job but was incredibly rewarding to lend a hand to provide a family with a new home!

Salvation Army Angel Tree

This worldwide event comes at one of the hardest times of the year for some families, the holidays. BankerBroker® teams up with the Salvation Army to sponsor deserving children in order to provide them with Christmas gifts.

Some of the items, such as shoes and coats are needed and others, such as toys and bikes, are long time child wishes. In years past, BankerBroker® and its employees have sponsored up to 25 children at a time. A group of employees takes on the shopping challenge with the monies donated company wide. This is a very rewarding experience to shop for a child in order to give them a brighter Christmas and who doesn't like to sort through the season's cool new toys!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

This is no ordinary food drive. Each year BankerBroker® splits up into teams and race to the food donation day. Teams take on the challenge to build the largest heap of donated canned goods and dry food items.

All donations are then delivered to the Wayside Ontario food bank in order to help provide meals and groceries out of their pantry to those less fortunate. Wayside Christian through its variety of programs continues to "Provide hope for people in need". Through this initiative, BankerBroker® has delivered truckloads of goods to support families in our community.
