Effective January 1, 2014 the amount you can borrow with an FHA loan is likely to decrease significantly.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has recently announced that it is implementing new FHA loan limits as of January 1, 2014.

Depending on your particular county in Southern California, FHA loan limits may drop by as much as $144,650. That could make the home of your dreams unattainable in the coming year. However, you still have time to take advantage of the current FHA loan limits if your application is submitted by December 20, 2013.

Buy your brand new energy-efficient home now before time runs out, and start saving before he limits go down & your ability to purchase diminishes.
